IndustriesAuto repair shops
Customers search when something's broken. Be the shop that answers.
Nobody browses for a mechanic. They search when the check-engine light comes on, read reviews for ninety seconds, and pick the shop that looks open, close, and honest. We build shop sites — and the Google Business Profile behind them — for exactly that moment.
What owners tell us
The same problems come up in nearly every first call. If any of these sound familiar, they are exactly what the work fixes.
The site doesn't say the basics
Services, hours, whether you handle towing — the things a stranded driver needs in the first ten seconds are the things most shop sites bury or omit. If the answer isn't visible on a phone, the next shop gets the call.
Quote requests vanish into an inbox
A form that emails an address nobody watches is worse than no form: the customer thinks they've reached you, and silence reads as a no. Requests have to land where your counter actually sees them.
Reviews decide everything
For repair shops, the star rating is the reputation — one bad review stings, and most shops have no system for asking the hundreds of happy customers who'd gladly balance it. The fix is a habit, not a trick.
Dealerships own the expensive searches
Dealer service departments outspend independents on the big-ticket terms. An independent shop wins the searches that matter with proximity, reviews, honest pricing signals — and a Business Profile in better shape than the dealer's.
What we build
A custom build on real, portable code — never a template chosen from a menu. Fixed quote before work starts, $1,500–$4,500, and you own the site and the domain from day one.
After launch, a Watchtower care plan from $99/mo keeps it fast, secure, and current — month to month, leave anytime and keep everything.
On the site
- Click-to-call and directions above the fold on a phone
- A services list in plain English — what it is, why it matters, when it's urgent
- An appointment and quote-request form routed where your counter actually sees it
- Certifications and warranties — ASE, parts and labor — stated plainly
- Financing options for the big repairs
- Reviews out front, and a working system for asking happy customers
- Hours accurate everywhere people check — site, Google, Apple, the lot
How ads & local SEO work here
Auto repair is the classic near-me-and-now vertical: the map pack and Local Services Ads capture most of the demand, and proximity weighs heavily in who shows up. That makes Google Business Profile hygiene — right categories, real photos, answered reviews — worth more than clever content. It's unglamorous work; we do it monthly.
Search ads go where the ticket justifies the click: transmission work, brake jobs, diagnostics — not oil changes, where the math rarely works and we'll tell you so. Ads run in your own account, billed direct by Google, with $0 markup from us, so you can see exactly what a call cost.
The calendar is your friend: pre-winter and pre-summer checkups, tire changeovers, AC service, inspection deadlines, road-trip season. Breakdowns are pure urgency — the shop that answers the phone gets the tow.
The $0-markup difference
Much of this industry bundles ads, hosting, and “leads” into one contract where the agency’s cut hides inside the ad budget — and some of it resells the same lead to several competitors at once. We run it the other way:
- Your ads run in your own Google and Meta accounts — you keep them if you ever leave
- Ad spend is billed direct to your card by the platforms; we never touch the media bill
- $0 markup — our fee is a separate, flat, known number
- A plain-terms monthly report: what was spent, what it produced, what we changed
- Month to month, in every industry — the only reason to stay is that the work is good
Before you sign with anyone — us included — ask three questions: who owns the domain, can I export the site, and can I see the platform’s own invoice for my ads? Every answer here takes one sentence, and it’s yours, yes, and yes.
FAQ
Straight answers for auto repair shops.
The same answers you’d get on the phone — including the parts a pitch would leave out.
Why does my Google listing matter more than my website?
For “near me” searches it's often the first thing a customer sees — hours, reviews, distance, photos — before your site loads at all. But the two work as a pair: the listing wins the glance, and the site converts the click into a call. We keep both in shape, because either one alone leaks customers.
Can people book online?
Yes — either a request form your counter confirms, or integration with the scheduler you already use. Confirmed-by-you keeps control of the bay schedule where it belongs while still capturing the customer who searches at night.
Should I advertise oil changes?
Rarely. Low-ticket services seldom pay back the click cost, and chains with loss-leader pricing own those searches anyway. We aim spend at high-value repairs — transmission, brakes, diagnostics — where one job covers a week of ads. We'd rather tell you that now than hide it in a report.
How do we handle a bad review?
Respond professionally, once, with the facts — readers judge the response more than the complaint. Then drown it the honest way: a consistent habit of asking happy customers, which we build into your workflow. We never post or purchase fake reviews, for anyone.
